Hey Cougar fans
We got the opportunity to help prepare a community garden this past week with The Gifts in the Moment Foundation. It was a fun afternoon, working together to help others in the community.
The past couple of weeks we also had the opportunity to cheer on our softball and baseball teams. It’s important to support each other, and I always enjoy going to sporting events. We also wrapped up the spring season with post testing and saying goodbye to our sophomores, which we wish luck with their next chapter in life. As we move forward, us freshman who are soon to be sophomores, are taking a look at our summer workouts and schedules so that we will come into the fall season prepared for a dynamite season.
Summer is just around the corner which means the Cougars are wrapping it up with finals this week!!! It’s been an awesome year filled with many lasting memories. Who can forget our trip to the ropes course or our night out in Arizona where we tried fried rattlesnake! We’ve had a blast competing this year, but its’ time to put in some really hard work and come back stronger than ever this fall!
This summer the team will be busy with workouts, lifting and volleyball camps. However, I will be spending the summer in California! I am volunteering at a Christian camp in the mountains of Northern California where I will be working with Jr. High and High School kids. This is a once in a lifetime experience and I am excited to grow in different ways and gain valuable leadership skills.
I know the summer will fly by quickly and we will be on the court again in no time. Have a great summer everyone! See you soon!
