I’m a Cougar now!

Hey Cougar fans!  My name is Leah TerBush and I am a transfer freshman here at ICC. I am originally from Metamora, a short 15-minute drive from the ICC campus. Beginning my college career, I attended a small college in South Bend, Indiana called Bethel. After an injury my first semester, I decided to come back to Illinois to be closer to family and pursue my career goals while also playing volleyball. I have now been a Cougar for 10 weeks and the transition here has been great. My team, coaches, and professors have grown my passion for both volleyball and my studies.

I’m excited for what’s in store for this upcoming season! When I was first introduced to all the girls on the team they were so friendly and fun to be around! So far the current volleyball players have been in a volleyball class and are weight lifting so we can freshen up our skills and get stronger for the coming season.

Classes have been great. Some of the resources that I strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of are the learning labs, math labs, and studio to get the extra help if needed. Maintaining good grades is crucial for being a collegiate athlete so it is awesome to have those people around to help you stay on top. I’ve had a blast here so far and cannot wait for what is to come for me here at ICC! Go Cougars!
